The construction of a commercial and industrial zone is to begin at the end of next year in the southeastern tip of Slavkov u Brna. There will be 15 buildings on almost six hectares, which will serve shops and services, will function as warehouses or space for light production, and part of them will also occupy office space. It should be completed in early 2025. So far, the areas for future construction are used for cultivation as arable land.

The construction will connect to the already existing industrial zone between Bučovická Street and the city bypass. The new buildings will cover an area of more than one hectare, greenery will be planted on three hectares and the rest will be occupied by sidewalks, roads and parking lots. The Cihelna Slavkov company and the Slavkov businessman Petr Matuštík are behind the project.

It is not yet clear which companies will operate in the area, because potential candidates are still being negotiated. It is expected that there will be space for 340 employees in the complex. There will be parking for 290 cars and it is expected that almost 100 trucks and 1100 cars will come here every day. The complex will be connected to Bučovická Street.
