Commerz Real has acquired the Frankfurt branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) as a tenant at Bockenheimer Landstrasse 39 in Frankfurt am Main on approx. 2,700 square metres. “That a global player such as ICBC has opted for Frankfurt and our property is testimony to the increasing significance of the city as a financial centre as well as the excellent quality and location of our property,” says a pleased Jens Böhnlein, Global Head of Asset Management and Sustainability at Commerz Real.

Erected in 2010, the office building has been in the portfolio of the Hausinvest open-ended real estate fund of Commerz Real since 2019. The property was acquired from former Generali Insurance as part of the “Millennium Portfolio”, which comprised 50 properties. In total the building has a lettable area of 6,000 square metres and 38 parking spaces. The modern building is notable for its prestigious location on the corner of two streets and its excellent transport connections. The subway station “Alte Oper” and the suburban train station “Taunusanlage” are only a few minutes away on foot. The central railway station can also be reached in a quarter of an hour on foot, the airport in 17 minutes by car.
