Continental opens new factory in Serbia's Novi Sad

German car parts manufacturer Continental will open on February 23 the second factory in Serbia's northern city of Novi Sad, according to the Novi Sad government. The company started construction work on the factory in June 2021. The factory has a total area of 30,000 sqm of production and office space.

In March 2021 the company opened the first production plant in the Industrial Zone Novi Sad North 4. The total value of Continental's investments in both factories amounts to EUR 140 million.

The Continental was founded in 1871, and today operates in 59 countries and employs more than 240.000 people in its factories, development centers, and branches.
