Croatian civil engineering company Pomgrad will build a EUR 14 million new fishing port in the town of Komiza, on the Adriatic island of Vis. The project will be financed entirely with European Union grants.

The main project has already been designed, and the necessary construction permits have been obtained. The contractor selection process has been completed, and the signing of contracts is now awaited before work begins. The estimated completion time is 28 months, with the investment divided into seven phases.

The project will separate fishing and tourism activities to improve functionality for both sectors. Additional infrastructure will include a boat hoist, fuel station, and hospitality facilities.
