ČSOB bank, a member of the Belgian KBC group, has moved to Zuckermandel, a new neighborhood J&T is developing near the Danube River under Bratislava Castle. The bank is occupying 21,000 sqm in two BTS six-story buildings connected by two bridges on the upper floors. The buildings, which will house 1,300 employees, also include a canteen, bistro and rooftop terrace. The interior design resulted from an architectural contest launched by the bank. The building aspires to get BREEAM Excellent certification.

J&T agreed to take over the 10 “old” ČSOB buildings around Bratislava. The bank had been looking for a new location for five years before choosing Zuckermandel. The neighborhood, which will include 187 flats, 42,000 sqm of office and 4,000 sqm of retail, is scheduled for completion in mid-2018. Costs are expected to run to €150m.
