Ministry of Health: Daily number of vaccinations against COVID-19: 220,325, new infections: 3,896
The daily number of vaccinations against COVID-19 was 220,325, with a total of 12,225,861 vaccinations, the Ministry of Health reported. The number of new and confirmed cases of infection was 3,896.

So far, 12,901,190 doses of the vaccine have been delivered to Poland. 12,628,420 were sent to vaccination sites, and 11,313 were disposed of, the ministry said on its vaccination page.

The number of post-vaccination adverse events was 6,996.

The ministry also said today that 3,896 new cases of infection, confirmed by positive laboratory tests, have been recorded.

According to the Ministry of Health, as of this morning, 139,274 people were in quarantine. 20,410 people were hospitalized (out of 39,763 beds for COVID-19 patients). 2,469 ventilators were occupied (out of 4,257 available in hospitals).

As part of easing the restrictions, shopping malls were opened yesterday, on May 8 - hotels are to be opened, and on May 15 - restaurant gardens. After the May weekend, all students from grades I-III returned to full-time education, on May 15 - students from grades IV-VIII and secondary schools were scheduled to return in hybrid mode, and from May 29 - in full-time mode.

As a rule, people who come to Poland are still required to undergo a 10-day quarantine (except for travelers from the Schengen area who present a negative coronavirus test result, taken no later than 48 hours).
