The Dealz chain, part of the Pepco Group, plans to double the number of its stores in Poland - to around 340 by the end of 2023 (against 170 at the end of last quarter), the chain said. At the beginning of next year, Dealz also plans to open a distribution center in Poland, which will help in the implementation of development plans.

"The development so far in Poland has allowed us to develop a store model that is even more suited to the domestic market and the expectations of Polish customers, but that's not all. We will invest in the development of the network to implement the ambitious plan to open more than 1,000 Dealz stores in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe," said CEO of Dealz Poland, Marcin Langowski.

In the coming months, the chain plans to introduce a modernization program in Poland, including the optimization of the range and store space, as well as the introduction of new technological solutions, which will certainly have a positive impact on the reception of Dealz customers and employees. The supply chain is also subject to continuous optimization, and one of the key elements of development in this area will be the opening of a new warehouse in central Poland at the beginning of next year, it also said.

The accelerated expansion plan is possible thanks to the strong position of the entire Pepco Group, whose strategic goal is the development of two formats in Central and Eastern Europe: Pepco and Dealz. The integration of systems, processes and infrastructure allows for the effective development of the organization in many areas, the company announced.

Dealz focuses on the sale of FMCG sector products, including the food and drugstore categories. The remainder of the offer are industrial products, incl. decorative items, home furnishings or toys.

The first Dealz store in Poland was opened in February 2018 in Swarzędz, and currently there are 170 stores in Poland offering over 3,000 products of well-known brands. Currently, the chain employs nearly 2,000 employees in stores and the headquarters in Poland.

The Pepco Group currently has about 3,900 stores located in 19 countries, including Great Britain, Ireland, Spain and the Central and Eastern Europe region, and employs approx. 41,000 people.
