A number of 3 subsidiaries of the German giant Deutsche Telekom have bought in advance electricity for 12 years to be produced by a 461 MW wind farm in Buzau, on which construction work will start soon.

T-Mobile Czech Republic, Telekom Slovakia and CE Colo Czech Republic, all part of Deutsche Telekom, have signed virtual cross-border power purchase agreements with Rezolv Energy, one of the developers of the park.

″We are proud to facilitate the construction of a new site for renewable energy production and become a leader in this field. This is a new step in our journey towards decarbonisation. The agreement also provides us with an important diversification of risks in our energy procurement strategy and protection against energy price fluctuations," said Pavel Hadrbolec, CFO of T-Mobile Czech Republic and Telekom Slovakia.
