Duda Development launches new residential project “Dyfrakcja” in Łódź
Duda Development has commenced construction on its latest residential project, “Dyfrakcja,” marking a significant addition to the real estate landscape in Łódź. Situated at 3 Wodna Street, the project is poised to enhance the New Centre of Łódź, a major urban revitalization initiative.
The Dyfrakcja development will feature 214 residential units, ranging from 25 to 97 square meters and offering one- to four-room layouts. The general contractor for the project is ALSTAL Grupa Budowlana. The New Centre of Łódź, one of Central and Eastern Europe’s largest urban development schemes, is transforming the area bordered by Narutowicza, Kopcińskiego, Tuwima, and Piotrkowska Streets. Initially focused on office spaces, the area is increasingly characterized by residential buildings coupled with cultural and entertainment amenities.
Residents of Dyfrakcja will benefit from close proximity to notable landmarks such as the EC1 Science and Technology Centre and the Grand Theatre, as well as nearby parks ideal for outdoor activities.
The project, designed by Unicorn architectural studio, will comprise a six-story building featuring a variety of functional apartment sizes and layouts, catering to both singles and families. The development will also include an underground garage, bicycle storage, and eight retail and service units on the ground floor.
Dyfrakcja represents one of several projects by Duda Development in Łódź. The Poznań-based company, with over 25 years in the Polish real estate market, is also working on the Diasfera project, located near Piłsudskiego Avenue between Kilińskiego and Targowa Streets. The third phase of Diasfera is currently under construction. Both Dyfrakcja and Diasfera reflect a blend of modern architectural trends and the distinctive historical character of Łódź.
The Dyfrakcja project is expected to be completed by October 2026, with sales of the apartments already underway.
