Dulcinella, a cake manufacturer, purchased 19,000 sqm plot of land in Bucharest, following a EUR 800,000 investment, where the company wants to relocate its production from Piatra Neamţ.

"Although there is openness to the area of artisan sweets, 70% of Romanians mainly use retail chains for the purchase of sweets and pastry products. (..). The next step is to enter supermarkets, including under private label, for each of the brands of retail", says Sergiu Diaconu, Dulcinella shareholder representative.

The Dulcinella chain was launched in 2005, in the Republic of Moldova, and entered the Romanian market in 2019. The company has a factory in Târgu Neamţ and over 120 employees. Since 2024, the company is owned by Cornelius H Group, an investment fund registered in Great Britain, launched by investors from the Republic of Moldova.
