Dwelling construction up in Poland in first nine months of 2020

There were more dwellings completed in Poland in the first nine months of 2020 compared to the year before, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). However, the number of dwellings which secured permits or that have been registered with a construction project and the number of dwellings where construction has started decreased. According to the preliminary data, 156,500 dwellings were completed between January and September, up 7.4 percent y-o-y. Developers completed 101,300 dwellings (up 11.1 percent y-o-y), while private investors completed 52,600 dwellings, up 5.6 percent y-o-y.
