E-commerce service provider secures 20,000 sqm of logistics space in Cologne Marsdorf
Integrated logistics real estate consultant Logivest has successfully brokered approximately 20,000 square meters of logistics space in Cologne Marsdorf for an expanding e-commerce service provider. This lease marks the service provider’s first logistics facility in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The newly leased property features nearly 5,700 square meters of block storage, around 12,500 square meters of racked storage, and approximately 1,200 square meters of office space. The facility offers dual-sided ramp access and a ground-level gate, ensuring quick and efficient operations. These features, along with the site’s strategic location, were key factors in the company’s decision.
Situated in the western part of Cologne, the warehouse is ideally positioned near the Cologne West motorway junction, providing easy access to the A1 and A4 motorways. The site is also well-connected to public transportation, making it convenient for employees.
“Cologne and the Cologne Bay area have long been among Germany’s top logistics regions. However, securing space of this size in a prime location is a rare find, especially within the metropolitan area,” said Thomas Schmidt, Managing Director of Logivest NRW GmbH.
The leasing process moved quickly, with less than two months between the initial offer and the final agreement. The e-commerce service provider has already taken occupancy of the space.
