Electricity and gas supplier E.ON Energie Romania has completed the construction of a photovoltaic power plant for brick manufacturer Cemacon, a company controlled by the founders of DIY chain Dedeman.

The project, an investment estimated at almost EUR 850,000, consisted of installing a system comprising 2,176 photovoltaic modules on the roof of the factory in the Recea industrial park (Sălaj county), which will generate an average of 976 MWh/year.

"We aim to have all our factories covering their electricity consumption from alternative sources by 2030, and the project with E.ON contributes to achieving this goal," says Daniel Șologon, CEO of Cemacon.
