EDPR has an agreement with NSG Group to sell 51% of wind farm energy

EDP Renewables (EDPR) has entered into a PPA agreement with NSG Group's NSG UK Enterprises Ltd for 51% of wind farm power with a total installed capacity of 70 MW, located in Poland, the company said.

The ten-year PPA will enter into force on January 1, 2022. The wind farm with a total installed capacity of 70 MW is already in the operational phase.

"We are very pleased with the conclusion of the PPA with NSG UK, which thus fulfills the ambitious goal of using green energy to develop its business. Moreover, this agreement confirms the commitment of the Polish market to the development of renewable energy and strengthens the EDPR's position as a leading regional player that has been supporting the energy transformation of the country for over 10 years now," said EDPR President Miguel Stilwell d'Andrade.

Under this agreement, EDPR will receive an EcoVadis Assessment Charter for the full duration of the agreement within a maximum of six months from the signature of the PPA.

"We are delighted to conclude our first Virtual PPA with EDP, which reflects the NSG Group's commitment to sustainable development. With this initiative, we will be sourcing renewable energy to power our operations in Europe for the next 10 years. the scientifically proven goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions," added NSG Group president Shigeki Mori.

EDPR is the fourth largest producer of energy from renewable sources in the world, present on 25 international markets. In Poland, it has launched its first wind farm in 2008.
