eMAG logistics parks achieve BREEAM Excellent certification

Real estate consultancy Cushman & Wakefield Echinox coordinated the BREEAM Excellent certification process for the nearly 500,000 sqm logistics park portfolio owned by eMAG, one of the largest online retailers in Eastern Europe, in Romania and Hungary.

The certification recognises the environmental performance of projects through the implementation of energy efficiency and environmental impact reduction measures.
The largest share of the certified portfolio is held by the 245,000 sqm park that eMAG has built near the A1 motorway, Bucharest-Pitești. The certification project also included the 23,000 sqm Sameday park in Chitila, Ilfov county, as well as eMAG's most recent investment, a 125,000 sqm logistics facility near Budapest in Dunaharaszti.
