Energia Mileniului III resumes wind project for EUR 150 million

Energia Mileniului III, a JV with Max Boegl International and BTG Wide Consulting, resumed the development of a 99 MW wind farm in Tulcea, the company having a new approval issued by Transelectrica based on a 2012 connection contract. According to public information, the investment could reach EUR 150 million.

The project is not new, as it was put on hold in 2014, when the support scheme for wind projects was drastically reduced. But now, Romania seems to be at the beginning of a new wind boom, with recent transactions and investment announcements being proof of this.
