Etex invests EUR 28 million in a plasterboard factory near Bucharest

Etex Romania Building Performance, manufacturer of Siniat plasterboard systems, plasters and renders, supplier of fire protection solutions and Promat high performance insulation, continues its development in Romania. The company is investing EUR 28 million in a plasterboard factory near Bucharest, which is expected to be commissioned in 2025. With this new investment, Etex's financial commitment in Romania approaches EUR 100 million.

"The investments we have made in recent years are aimed at long-term commercial and business competitiveness, creating new jobs and supporting the communities in which we operate. We believe that all this confirms our long-term commitment to Romania. We are determined to continue our regional growth in South East Europe through local investment in Romania. With the opening of the plasterboard plant near Bucharest, we will create 80 new jobs," said Andrei Popa, General Manager Romania & South East Europe.

Once the investment is completed, the plant near Bucharest will become the third production facility Etex operates in Romania.
