Delikatesy Centrum has opened a new proprietary supermarket project in Wrocław in a refreshed ReFresh format, the company said. Eurocash believes that there is potential for at least several hundred supermarkets in the new ReFresh concept, said Dariusz Stolarczyk, member of the board of Eurocash.

"We see the potential for at least a few hundred supermarkets in a more advanced specification - both new and those created as a result of the modernization of existing stores in a modern urban or rural format. Such Delikatesy Centrum - thanks to the leading offer of fresh products, including hot, supplemented with a standard range, industrial categories, selected services, as well as local products - will be an attractive franchise model. The store in Wrocław is a test platform for several solutions, including high-quality gastronomic offer," said Stolarczyk.

"We plan to open more stores with other pilot initiatives in the coming months. Our goal is to develop a franchise concept for a supermarket which, with approx. 400 m2 of retail space, will be the leading store in the area, in a sense the center of the local community. location - it should expand its offer with specific convenience solutions in terms of the mission of the so-called everyday shopping. Delikatesy Centrum in Wrocław was opened a month ago, so we can only draw the first conclusions. However, I think that we are close to such a model," he added.

The ReFresh project is a modernized and enlarged concept of a universal supermarket chain Delikatesy Centrum with an area of approx. 400 sqm, designed to strengthen the implementation of the daily shopping mission in a relatively small sales area, combining it with selected convenience and stock up functions (i.e. purchases made in advance), the company said.

In the new store design, the space and assortment of fresh categories has been expanded, and the brand of hot dishes with Ogniem and Pieprzem will be tested, which after the pilot phase will appear in other Delikatesy Centrum outlets, also announced.

"Convenience in our edition are not sandwiches or hot dogs. We undertake an ambitious attempt to create an offer of high-quality ready-made dishes, both hot and for home baking, which have a chance to enter our consumers' daily menu. The Fire and Pepper Initiative after the phase tests will be one of the tools put into the hands of franchisees, increasing the uniqueness of Delikatesy Centrum," indicated Michał Groniewski, responsible for the development of the store concept.
