Eurostat: HICP inflation in Poland amounted to 12.8% y / y in May

HICP inflation in Poland amounted to 12.8% y / y in May this year. against 11.4% y / y inflation a month earlier, the EU statistical office Eurostat reported. In monthly terms, the indicator increased by 1.6%.

Across the EU, HICP inflation amounted to 8.8% y / y in May.

The lowest annual rates were recorded in France, Malta (both 5.8%) and Finland (7.1%). The highest annual rates were recorded in Estonia (20.1%), Lithuania (18.5%) and Latvia (16.8%). Compared with April, annual inflation fell in one Member State and rose in 26.

According to the data of the Central Statistical Office (GUS), consumer inflation was 13.9% on an annual basis in May 2022.
