Eurostat: Poland's HICP inflation was 16.4% y/y in October

Poland's HICP inflation was 16.4% y/y in October this year, compared to 15.7% y/y inflation a month earlier, the EU's statistical office Eurostat reported. On a monthly basis, the index rose 1.6%.

EU-wide, HICP inflation stood at 11.5% y/y in October.

The lowest annual rates were registered in France (7.1%), Spain (7.3%) and Malta (7.4%). The highest annual rates were registered in Estonia (22.5%), Lithuania (22.1%) and Hungary (21.9%). Compared to September this year, annual inflation declined in eleven member states, remained stable in three, and increased in thirteen.

According to the Central Statistical Office (GUS), consumer inflation stood at 17.9% on an annual basis in October 2022.
