Poland's youngest outlet officially opened on 27 March 2019 as Silesia Outlet. It changed its name to FACTORY Gliwice a year later, officially joining the largest and best recognised brand of centres of this profile in the country. In its first week of operation, more than 100,000 customers came to shop there.
"FACTORY Gliwice has been successfully developing its shopping offer, as well as its package of additional services, taking care of the best possible shopping experience and the business success of NEINVER's partners who run outlet stores in the facility. Last year, we recorded a 14 per cent increase in turnover, while the number of customers increased by 7.4 per cent. In the past year, United Colors of Benetton, Change Lingerie and So!Coffe joined the tenant portfolio. This is the best proof for us that we've been heading in the right direction for these five years, despite the industry turmoil related to the pandemic," says Małgorzata Pastuszka, director of FACTORY Gliwice at NEINVER.
More than 6.5 million customers live within the catchment area of the Silesian FACTORY outlet. Thanks to the outlet's location in the direct vicinity of two motorways, A1 and A4, and the Bojków junction, considered the busiest transport routes in Poland, the residents of almost the entire agglomeration are the guests of the outlet. Czechs are also keen to go shopping. The centre forms a joint shopping zone with Auchan Gliwice and the Leroy Merlin construction store.
The tenant portfolio of FACTORY Gliwice is represented by local and international brands of almost all categories - from women's fashion (Monnari, Unisono), men's (Bytom, Vistula, Pierre Cardin, Lavard or Lancerto) and mixed (United Colors of Benetton, Guess, Diverse, Volcano, Only), through footwear (Kazar, Venezia, Crocs, New Balance, Symbiosis) and accessories (Wittchen), to jewellery (Apart), lingerie (Change Lingerie, Bagatelle, Italian Fashion) and home goods (Tefal, Dajar). Sports and outdoor brands (adidas, Puma, Reebok, 4F, Intersport, Martes Sport, Alpine Pro, Regatta) and denim outlet stores (Levi's, Pepe Jeans, Lee, Wrangler, Cross Jeans) are the strength of the offer. All products are available at permanently reduced prices of between 30 and 70 per cent, and during cyclical additional discount campaigns such as "Jungle Night", "Super Thursdays" or "80's Party" they gain even further reductions from outlet prices.
On site, the outlet is managed by NEINVER's 6-person team, supported by managers from the company's headquarters in Warsaw and Madrid. Nearly 400 people have found jobs at FACTORY Gliwice. NEINVER devotes a lot of attention to supporting local tenants and retail chains that run their shops in FACTORY Gliwice. It's Retail Academy with a series of training on management, styling and professional customer service, Mystery Shopper surveys or competitions for tenants with attractive financial prizes. The centre is managed according to the best possible sustainability standards. It has a Breeam in Use rating the management at Excellent level and the facility itself at Very Good level, as well as AIS accessibility certification, Zero Waste and 100% Green Energy.
In addition to the wide range of brands on offer, there are relaxation areas with charging points for electronic devices and natural vegetation, a children's playground and professionally equipped rooms for parents to feed and hygienically care for their little ones. Extended spaces have been designated in the car park for cars belonging to families. A charger for electric cars has been installed. There is also a filtered water point for customers. In the last year, care has also been taken to extend the green areas around the facility and the flower meadow. A bee apiary has been in operation for several years.
FACTORY Gliwice has an area of 12,000 square metres and brings together 51 shops and service points.
