The first stage of renovation of the Athenee Palace Hilton hotel in Bucharest will be completed at the end of May. The renovation project takes place in two stages, the first being started in October and comprising the renovation of the 132 rooms of the wing built in 1965, and the second will consist in the rehabilitation of the hotel facade from the old wing, built in 1914, which will be launched in September.

The ANA Hotels group, controlled by businessman George Copos, has invested EUR 25 million in renovating the building. The investment will be made partly from own funds and from a bank loan.

The hotel company also owns and operates the hotel in Bucharest Crowne Plaza, three hotel units in Poiana Brasov and Hotel Europa together with the ANA Aslan Health Spa in Eforie Nord.
