Ford Romania suspends production in Craiova due to the semiconductor crisis

The crisis that the global car industry is going through, due to the inability of semiconductor suppliers to cope with orders, has also reached Craiova, where Ford is preparing to suspend activities.

"Due to the problems related to the supply of semiconductors that affect a large part of the global automotive industry, Ford Craiova will temporarily suspend the production of vehicles and engines for 8 days, starting with February 26. The current plan is the production at Ford Craiova to be resumed on March 10 ", the company transmitted.

During the 8 days in which the production will be suspended, the factory employees will be paid according to the agreements concluded between the company and the unions and taking into account the legislation in force.
