Genesis Property earns top sustainability certification for YUNITY Park’s building F
Genesis Property has achieved the prestigious BREEAM Outstanding certification for Building F in the YUNITY Park business campus. This certification, the highest level of BREEAM International In-Use, underscores Genesis Property’s strong commitment to sustainability as part of its broader strategy to make its entire portfolio BREEAM-certified by 2026.
Building F, home to prominent companies like HP Enterprise, HP Inc., and Garanti BBVA, received outstanding scores of 88.2% for construction performance and 88.9% for sustainable building management. This accomplishment reflects Genesis Property’s ongoing efforts to reduce its environmental impact and contribute to global sustainability goals.
“The built environment contributes significantly to carbon emissions and resource consumption. Our BREEAM Outstanding certification is a critical step in our mission to create healthier, more sustainable spaces while tackling the pressing environmental challenges we face,” said Liviu Tudor, President of Genesis Property.
The YUNITY Park campus, which began its transformation in 2021, represents a new, innovative real estate concept focused on sustainability. With over 50 million euros invested, Genesis Property has implemented various green initiatives, including the installation of 1,080 photovoltaic panels across 4,000 square meters, providing renewable energy for the campus. Additionally, all buildings in Genesis Property’s portfolio now operate on 100% renewable electricity.
Genesis Property’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond energy efficiency. The campus features extensive green spaces, including a 1,000-square-meter urban forest, pedestrian walkways, and creative outdoor areas designed to enhance the well-being of occupants and visitors.
By 2026, Genesis Property aims to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification for its entire portfolio and is targeting Zero Energy Building (ZEB) certification by 2030. The company’s efforts have also been recognized with the prestigious EMAS environmental management certification and validation from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its emissions reduction goals.
As the first 100% Romanian-owned company to join the UN Global Compact, Genesis Property continues to align its operations with global sustainability standards, including reporting its ESG performance to the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB). The company remains at the forefront of Romania’s push towards a more sustainable future in real estate.
