The British pharmaceutical group GlaxoSmithKline sold the last factory it still had in Romania, Ferrosan from Cluj-Napoca, to Hexagon Retail Properties, controlled by Florin Mariş and Raul Ciurtin.

"For Hexagon, the acquisition at the end of 2021 of the building in Cluj-Napoca owned by Ferrosan, was motivated primarily by the intention to diversify investments by developing within the group the retail component. We are considering ensuring the development of a retail format focused on providing a mix of customized services and facilities to residential areas that are expanding in the vicinity, "said Florin Mariş, CEO of Hexagon.

The sale process lasted a little over one year, and its completion was marked in December 2021. GSK was assisted by the real estate consulting company JLL.
