In the opinion of the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology (MRPiT), there should be an additional loosening of restrictions, e.g. in the hotel industry, said Deputy Prime Minister and head of this ministry Jarosław Gowin. He added that in the current phase of the pandemic it is possible to "further ease" in the area of economic and people-to-people contacts.

"We believe that there should be additional loosening, also with regard to the hotel industry, for example. There is no doubt that we are in a pandemic phase where further easing in the economic area and in the area of people-to-people contacts is possible" - said Gowin during the press conference.

Currently, hotels operate in a sanitary regime, with an occupancy of up to 50% of places.

"But at the same time, I would like to point out that this is not the end of the pandemic. We cannot treat it as the final victory. On the contrary, we have another great battle ahead of us, above all a battle to convince the part of our society that has not yet been vaccinated and has no intention to do so," he added.

This week the government is to present a schedule for easing the restrictions for the holiday period.
