GUS: Sold production of industry in Poland up 0.9%

In January 2021, sold production of industry in Poland was by 0.9 percent higher than in January 2020, when an increase was recorded by 1.1 percent as compared to the previous year, whereas in comparison with December 2020 it decreased by 5.1 percent, according to Statistics Poland (GUS). After eliminating the seasonal factors, in January 2021 sold production of industry reached the level higher by 5.7 percent than in the corresponding month of 2020 and by 1.7 percent higher as compared to December 2020. In January 2021, as compared to the previous year, a decrease of production was recorded in three main industrial groupings. The production of non-durable consumer goods decreased by 5.2 percent, energy – by 4.9 percent and capital goods – by 1.3 percent. An increase was observed in the production of intermediate goods – by 4.4 percent and durable consumer goods – by 3.7 percent, informed GUS.
