Union Investment has let 342 sqm in Hamburg's Chilehaus to the green fast food restaurant Gustav Grün. Following extensive refurbishment, the vegan snack bar has now opened at the top of the listed UNESCO World Heritage Site. Founded in 2017, Gustav Grün stands for affordable, restaurant-quality green fast food. All dishes are vegan. The lease has a term of ten years.

Chilehaus has been part of the UniImmo: Deutschland open-ended mutual property fund portfolio since 1993. "It is one of the best-known buildings in Germany and one of Hamburg's most prestigious addresses. We are delighted that young and modern concepts such as Gustav Grün also appreciate the traditional location and emphasise the attractiveness of the building," says Sven Lintl, Head of Asset Management Germany at Union Investment.

The expressionist brick building is located in the Kontorhaus district, directly opposite the Speicherstadt historical warehouse district, and has excellent public transport connections: The Meßberg and Steinstrasse underground stations are in the immediate vicinity, and the main railway station is just a few minutes' walk away.
