Hidroelectrica inaugurated new hydropower plant

Hidroelectrica inaugurated the Poiana Ruscă Micropower Plant, thus marking the completion of the first investment project realized with external financing.

The investment in MHC Poiana Ruscă was RON 5.79 million, of which RON 2.3 million were financed by the EEA & Norway Grants – Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.
The project aims to achieve a new installed capacity of 0.2 MW, which generates 1.5 GWh/year of green electricity with zero CO2 emissions.

The project was realized with the contribution of the two partners, Uzinsider General Contractor S.A. and equipment manufacturer WWS Wasserkraft GmbH, according to the contract signed on January 26, 2023.
