HIH Real Estate has found a new anchor tenant for the commercial building at Spitalgasse 12-14 in Coburg. The retail chain TK Maxx moves into the ground floor and the first floor; the opening of the approximately 2,400 square meter branch will take place in 2023. The listed property in downtown Coburg was built around 1900 and extensively revitalized in 2011. The total rental area is around 7,185 square meters. As part of the lease to TK Maxx, additional space is also to be leased. The property belongs to a real estate special fund managed by HIH Invest.

Milan-Kristoffer Otte, Head of Asset Management Retail & Logistics at HIH Real Estate, comments: "We are very pleased that we were able to win TK Maxx as a well-known, new tenant in a very predestined location in downtown Coburg. With its wide range of fashion items to home accessories, TK Maxx appeals to a broad target group and will contribute to the Coburg pedestrian zone gaining frequency and attractiveness. We expect the rental of TK Maxx to have a positive impact, especially for potential tenants, who we would also like to welcome to our property in the future.”

TK Maxx is an off-price retail company and part of the TJX Group, the world's leading off-price retailer of fashion and home accessories. The concept offers customers top brands and designer labels for women, men and children as well as home accessories at reduced prices. TK Maxx has been represented in Germany since October 2007.
