HILS Development announces the achievement of Green Homes pre-certification for the HILS Sunrise project. The 3-month pre-certification process is part of HILS Development's strategy to develop low-impact residential projects that regenerate urban areas and support sustainable communities. The total investment, worth EUR 3 million, includes both pre-certification costs and investments in technologies and facilities necessary to comply with the Green Homes standard.

Green Homes pre-certification attests that HILS Sunrise has a minimal impact on the environment and guarantees a high level of comfort for future residents. The project reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and uses less water while generating less waste. This contributes in the long term to combating climate change, protecting ecosystems and conserving natural resources.

“HILS Sunrise marks a remarkable evolution for our vision to build at scale not only for now but also for tomorrow. The project has all the ingredients to become a case study for the residential development industry in Romania - both in terms of scale and the complexity of the technologies used - from the regeneration and cleaning of the land to the reduction of the impact on the environment both during construction and especially during use of housing. HILS Sunrise will bring important benefits to the future owners but also to the community as a whole," said Iulia Iana, Marketing Director of HILS Development.

According to the Romania Green Building Council, owners of Green Homes save up to EUR 744 annually thanks to lower interest rates and reduced energy costs. The Green Mortgage Program, managed by RoGBC, facilitates the purchase of these homes through partner banks.
