HB Reavis has agreed a substantial leasing deal with the home24 SE. The international e-commerce furniture platform will take over 13,000 sqm in the DSTRCT.Berlin project.

home24 will enjoy over 12,000 sqm of office space, more than 1000 sqm of terraces, and additional cycling facilities including 250 spaces in probably the largest bicycle garages in Berlin, plus changing rooms and showers. The new office will support approx. 600 people, who will benefit from a wealth of wellbeing features that enhance health and productivity such as active design elements, a generous green inner courtyard with access to fresh air and a lot of natural light. The nearby DSTRCT.Market, placed in one of the historic halls, will provide a wide range of healthy and fresh food. Employees can also boost their creativity by enjoying the local art that will be installed in the lobbies.

The new office will be designed by Origameo, HB Reavis' strategic workspace advisory team, who will work closely with home24 to collect and analyse behavioural data, as well as department and individual needs, before creating the best possible workspace solutions for them.

home24 will occupy around a third of DSTRCT.Berlin’s new building, of which ¾ are now leased after STRATO and IONOS recently took almost 15,000 sqm of the project.

A mix of heritage and new buildings, the innovative development offers new office and conference space, as well as attractive indoor and outdoor dining facilities. After achieving WELL pre-certification at Gold level and WiredScore Platinum certification, it is set to quickly become a vital professional and social hub for Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg district.

DSTRCT.Berlin is located just next to the public transport hub “Landsberger Allee” and only a few minutes from Alexanderplatz and downtown Berlin. The new building’s modern curves and high-tech features are complemented by the characteristic former slaughterhouses. Construction started in 2019, with the hand-over to the first occupier Strato planned for late summer this year.
