The Swedish furniture retailer IKEA will start in a month or two the construction works at its future store in Timiș County, the third in Romania. It will have three levels and will include parking lots, pedestrian alleys, green spaces, geothermal pumps, installation of photovoltaic panels, commercial and office space, service spaces and other complementary functions.

The new store will be built on a plot of 85,000 sqm in Dumbrăvița, 6 kilometers from Timișoara and will have an area of 27,000 sqm. The new unit will most likely be completed in 2022. IKEA currently operates two stores, in Bucharest Băneasa and Pallady, but also a virtual store.
