Romania's industrial production increased in the first 4 months of 2021 by over 14 percent, compared to the same period last year, after an increase in the automotive sector by 39 percent. The growth is spectacular, but we must not forget that the Romanian economy suffered last year due to the lockdown caused by the pandemic.

"Last year, in the middle of the year, we looked at the indicators by industry and we had a drastic decrease of over 12 percent in Q2. It was the hardest moment of the crisis. Obviously we are now witnessing a recovery. Compared to last year, it seems that the industry has already recovered the lost and we can hope that by the end of the year we will have an increase ", sais Aurelian Dochia, economic analyst.
