Ionut Nicolescu partners with Radisson for Romania’s first five-star villas resort near Brasov
Grand Development, led by Ionut Nicolescu, has partnered with Radisson Hotel Group to open Romania’s first five-star villas resort under the Radisson Blu brand. The resort, under construction on a 2.6-hectare site near Brasov, will feature 46 Scandinavian chalet-style villas and 20 hotel rooms, all five-star rated. The opening is planned for late 2026.
The resort, located near a forest in the Carpathian Mountains and close to Brasov International Airport, will offer premium amenities, including an open-kitchen restaurant, a spa, a fitness center, conference rooms, and extensive recreational options.
David Jenkins, VP Business Development at Radisson Hotel Group, sees significant potential in Romania, aiming to expand their portfolio with this unique resort.
Nicolescu highlights the resort’s unique concept and its potential to boost Brasov’s visibility among international tourists. Co-owner Cremona Maria-Andrei and Alexandru Boghiu, with extensive real estate and investment experience, also contribute to the project, along with hospitality consultant Mircea Draghici.
Radisson Blu, known for its stylish and detail-oriented spaces, already has three hotels in Romania. This new resort will further enhance the brand’s presence in the country.
