The real estate developer Iulius has chosen the Dutch architecture office UNStudio to realize the mixed-use urban reconversion project it is doing in Cluj-Napoca, on the Carbochim platform. The project involves an investment of over EUR half billion.

Thus, Iulius and UNStudio are working on the master plan of the urban reconversion project of the industrial platform, which is currently in the approval stage. The proposed project combines cultural, residential, retail, office, park and entertainment functions, developed on an area of 14 hectares.

The ensemble will be made in partnership with Atterbury Europe, the South African fund with which it shares ownership of the Iulius shopping mall network and the Iulius Town mixed project in Timisoara. The construction will be carried out, according to estimates, with Build Corp, the same company that built the other projects in the Iulius portfolio.
