Jipocar Logistic is preparing the construction of a 40-metre high warehouse in a logistics centre near Střítež in the Jihlava region. The plan was published today in the EIA information system and the authorities are starting to assess its environmental impact. The logistics centre is next to the main road between Jihlava and Havlíčkův Brod and close to the exit and on-ramp to the 112th kilometre of the D1 motorway. Construction of another hall could start next year, according to the plan.

The plan also includes a landscape impact assessment. The planned hall will be taller than the existing ones, which measure no more than 15 metres. Authorities, municipalities and the public can comment on the plan within 30 days, the county's environment department said in a notice of intent.

The new 7,065-square-metre warehouse will be located between the current buildings D and E, partially encroaching on them. It will be built on land that is now used as a paved and handling area, with a smaller part of it being green space. The new warehouse will serve a local manufacturer of automotive components so that it does not have to rent external warehouses in other locations.

The company Jipocar Logistic, Ltd, which is the announcer of the project called J-project, belongs to the Jipocar Group, according to the annual report published in the Collection of Deeds. The group's principal activities are international freight forwarding, forwarding, road transport, warehousing and logistics services. Jipocar Logistic is engaged in logistics services and warehousing of goods. In the annual financial year ended March 31, 2022, the company had revenue from sales of products and services of CZK 775.5 million and 675 employees.
