The Jumbo retailer postponed its launch of their online store in Romania until next year and pushes the deadline for opening its store in Craiova until October, cataloging the 2020 year of the pandemic as a lost one and although initially there was an expectation of normalcy in 2021, developments do not currently confirm expectations.

"One of the many parameters of the upheaval caused in the markets refers to the increase in the price of raw materials. The feeling is that prices will probably stabilize at some point, but at higher levels than today. Transport costs have risen dramatically. Today, the shipping price of a container has reached USD 12,000, much higher than last year. The assessment is that the new balance will continue to be significantly higher than the levels before the crisis broke out," the company said.
