Jysk reports record profit in Hungary, despite COVID-19 pandemic

Despite lockdown and many limitations in sales the Nordic furniture retailer Jysk has reported record sales in Hungary for the financial year 2019/2020. The reported turnover stood at EUR 142m, which was a 13% increase compared to the previous fiscal year. According to the company they noted a massive increase in online purchases during lockdown, but also a huge increase of shoppers returning to the stores when the restrictions were eased. Jysk currently has 84 stores in Hungary and employs more than 800 people.
