The richest Czech is still Petr Kellner, owner of the PPF investment group. Forbes writes that the media-shy billionaire holds assets worth CZK 293 billion. Unlike the country's other richest men, however, Kellner managed to lose CZK 57 billion over the past year, primarily thanks to losses incurred in the first half of the year by his consumer credit company Home Credit. It's unclear whether the Forbes listing takes into account PPF's most recent piece of business: the takeover of CME, which among other assets owns the NOVA television station. Property mogul and owner of CPI Radovan Vitek held onto second place in the standings, ahead of Daniel Kretinsky (EPH) and Andrej Babis, the country's Prime Minister who claims to no longer own the Agrofert group.
