LaDoiPași opened 60 stores in one day

The network of convenience stores LaDoiPași - a franchise developed by METRO Romania - opened 60 stores in a single day, thus exceeding the threshold of 2,400 stores. This performance confirms both the interest of local entrepreneurs in this retail format and METRO's continued concern to support independent businesses, essential for the smooth functioning of the economy. The 60 new stores are present in both urban and rural areas.

"The simultaneous opening of 60 stores reflects the market's increased interest in this business model and our ability to respond to a large volume of requests. It was a race against time, which involved an impressive logistical effort and an unprecedented mobilization of forces in the company to make such an ambitious project possible," said Irinel Popescu, Sales & Operations Director, METRO Romania

At the end of the year, METRO estimates that the LaDoiPași franchise will exceed the threshold of 2,500 stores.
