Lafarge in Poland signed a conditional acquisition agreement for Izolbet, a company specializing in construction chemicals, dry mortars and insulation systems, whose net sales amount to PLN 150 million per year. The transaction is awaiting the decision of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection, Lafarge reported.

"The acquisition will enable Lafarge to develop in three key markets - renovation, thermal insulation necessary to improve the energy efficiency of buildings and finishing of buildings. It will also complement Lafarge's recent investment in a dry mix production plant in Krakow," said president Xavier Guesnu, quoted in the release.

The closing of the transaction is expected in the second half of 2022.

The acquisition will accelerate the Holcim Group's growth in solutions and products to reach 30% of the group's net sales by 2025.

Izolbet has four production plants in Budzyn, Gostynin, Kleszczów and Chmielów, employing nearly 170 people. The company's products are available throughout the country through a network of wholesalers, warehouses and construction stores.

Lafarge in Poland is part of the global Holcim Group, operating in four segments: Cement, Concrete, Aggregate and Solutions and Products.
