The Austrian construction materials manufacturer Leier is investing EUR 50 million in Romania, in four factories it owns and in a new unit, which it is preparing to develop in Șimand, Arad County.

The group has owned a prefabricated unit in Alba County since 2006, and in the last three years it has expanded strongly, taking over the Brikston brick factory in Iași and the Siceram masonry and ceramic tile factory in Sighișoara. In addition, this year Leier opened another prefabricated production unit in Câțcău, Cluj County.

"Current and future investments will take place over several years. Currently, we are focusing on finalizing the last details of the recently unit inaugurated in Câțcău. For our future office in Șimand in Arad County, we are preparing to start construction as soon as all the permits will be available ", said Thomas Ebner, CEO of Leier Romania Group.
