Lidl continues to expand in Romania

Lidl continues its local investments by opening a new store in Târgu Mureș. The store is located on Str. Liberty, no. 113/A and has a sales area of over 1,300 sqm and has 118 parking spaces. With the opening of the Lidl store, 24 new jobs will be created.Last year, the Lidl chain of stores registered a consolidated turnover of over RON 22.4 billion net, with a net profit of approximately RON 1 billion.

"We recorded an 18 percent higher turnover compared to the previous year, but the profitability rate is decreasing compared to the previous year, from 5.3 percent to 4.7 percent," said Marco Giudici, Lidl Romania CEO.
