The German retailer Lidl, is selling packages with more than 20 store projects, with the aim of renting them after construction, part of a plan to diversify the local expansion strategy. The consortium formed by M Core and Square 7 has already shown interest in the deal proposed by Lidl, according to sources in the real estate market.

The property packages consist of more than 20 plots of land located in several towns in Romania, on which the construction of Lidl stores is authorized or in the process of being authorized. The market value of the packages exceeds EUR 20 million.

Lidl approached several developers with these property packages, contrary to the retailer's usual practice. As a rule, real estate developers approach Lidl with the proposal to build a retail park that also includes a Lidl store.
