LIP Invest, an investment manager for logistics real estate in Germany, is expanding its management team: After Sebastian Betz was appointed managing director in July 2021, Natalie Weber and Daniel Pahl became authorized signatories with effect from October 1, 2021 ordered. With this step LIP is reacting to the strong business growth of the last three years.

More than 50 institutional investors have already invested in four logistics real estate funds with equity capital of around EUR 800 million. The LIP logistics portfolio now comprises 50 properties with a total rental area of over 1 million square meters and annual rental income of over EUR 60 million.

With assets under management - including ongoing acquisitions - of around EUR 1.4 billion, LIP was able to achieve the second place among the top investors in logistics real estate in 2021, according to a recently published bulwiengesa study.

Logistics specialist Natalie Weber

As a fund manager from the very beginning, Natalie Weber has played a key role in LIP's growth. Together with Sebastian Betz, she leads the fund management and, as relationship manager, leads the trustworthy communication with investors. In addition, she is in charge of the in-house research department, where she is primarily responsible for market and location analysis of the objects to be purchased as well as the preparation of regular market reports. The logistics expert was previously responsible for market and location analysis as well as consulting projects for the logistics industry at the Fraunhofer working group for Supply Chain Services SCS. She was part of the authors team for the study "Logistics Real Estate - Market and Locations", which has established itself as a standard work in the industry.

In-house lawyer and real estate economist Daniel Pahl

As General Counsel & Head of Operations, Daniel Pahl controls the transactions of existing properties, project developments and estates. Pahl is also responsible for the external financing for all funds. Before he started at LIP, he worked as a lawyer for the Frankfurt law firm AC Tischendorf and at Bethge Immobilienanwälte. He advised on real estate transactions and legal asset management. His other professional positions include the corporate legal department of Hochtief and the strategy and corporate development of Patrizia Immobilien AG, where he was involved in the international growth strategy and the M&A activities of the Augsburg investment manager.

“With Natalie and Daniel as authorized signatories, we are expanding our future-oriented structures. The transfer of procurations reflects the high level of professional competence as well as the leadership qualities, which distinguish both equally. I am very much looking forward to the continued trusting and positive cooperation with Natalie and Daniel”, explains Bodo Hollung, partner and managing director of LIP Invest.
