The Polish airline LOT will be offering flights between Ostrava and Prague, a move which took many market observers by surprise. The link will launched on November 12, offering 5 flights per week, and it will require a change to the flight schedule at the Ostrava airport. The Ostrava airport spokeswoman told Zdopravy.cz that the LOT flights would allow far better connections for Czechs to make connections to Europe, even if such tickets are not in huge demand at some point. The link will be continued for the time being despite the coronavirus crisis, but if it meets with success, could continue indefinitely. LOT has reserve one of its Embraer E170 planes for the service.
