Net employment forecast for the industrial sector for Q3 this year amounts to + 7%, i.e. it is higher by 14 percentage points YoY, where the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic was most felt on the labor market, according to the report "ManpowerGroup Employment Outlook". The forecast is the highest since the beginning of 2020 and higher than in Q1 2020, before the outbreak of the pandemic.

"The positive trend is strengthened by the growing belief of companies in rebuilding teams after the changes introduced by the pandemic. When we asked Polish employers about it a year ago, more than half admitted that they did not believe that they would ever return to their pre-pandemic employment status. every twentieth employer," said Iwona Janas, CEO of ManpowerGroup in Poland.

The greatest number of new jobs will be needed in construction, where the net employment forecast is + 15%, and in industrial production with a forecast of + 13%, for which the result is the highest in approximately two years. In the restaurants and hotels sector, the index was + 10%, in the retail sector (+ 8%).

The only one out of seven analyzed sectors in which employers forecast job cuts is finance and business services (-1%), for which the result is the lowest in over two years.

The improvement of the economic situation on the labor market will be most conducive to medium and large enterprises, which want to acquire the most new employees in the coming quarter, the report also stated.

The most optimistic plans have representatives of medium-sized companies with a forecast of + 11%, which is the highest in two years, and large organizations with a result of + 10%.

The report for the third quarter of 2021 was prepared on the basis of individual interviews with 607 employers in Poland. All participants of the survey were asked the question: "What are the forecasts for changes in the total employment of the company in your branch within three months, until the end of September 2021, compared to the current quarter?
