The French DIY retailer Leroy Merlin brought Mathieu Bauduin, also French by origin, to head the subsidiary in Romania. He thus replaces Frédéric Lamy, who is leaving this position after nine years.

Mathieu Bauduin has been working at Leroy Merlin for almost nine years, starting as district manager, continuing as store manager, general manager and now CEO for Romania. Previously, he worked for the French retailer Auchan.

Leroy Merlin is, on the local DIY market, the second player after Dedeman, registering a turnover of almost RON 3 billion in 2022. In Romania, currently, there are 20 Leroy Merlin stores in 14 cities.
