Matthias Thomas takes charge for Business Development at CAERUS

Professor Dr. Matthias Thomas is taking charge of the Business Development & Client Relationships division of CAERUS Debt Investments AG (CAERUS).

In this newly created position, his primary responsibility is fund raising for the real estate debt funds and individual mandates initiated by CAERUS. Additionally, he will also focus on business development and client relationship management.

Michael Morgenroth, CEO of CAERUS, said: "With Matthias, the business is gaining we are gaining a real estate expert with a proven track record at national and international levels. His expertise in the field of institutional real estate funds, as well as his excellent knowledge of the requirements of institutional investors, will support us in our planned expansion in this segment of the market."

Before joining CAERUS, Professor Dr. Thomas was Senior Director Institutional Sales at Real Exchange AG, an independent advisor to institutional investors trading real estate fund units on the secondary and primary markets.

From 2010 to 2017, he was CEO of the European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV) in Amsterdam and, during his tenure, he expanded the association's membership significantly, gaining over 200 new members.

From 2007 to 2010, he held the Endowed Chair of Real Estate Management at the EBS University of Economics and Law in Wiesbaden. Prof. Dr. Thomas is Past-President and Honorary Member of gif Society for Real Estate Research (Gesellschaft für immobilienwirtschaftliche Forschung e. V.).
